Getting married at the Carver Lake venue? Here's what you need to know from a wedding videographer's perspective.

We recently had the pleasure of filming a wedding at the Carver Lake Venue in North Carolina and we LOVED it!

  1. The venue has a photographer

One of the standout features was that the venue can include a photographer for your special day! For context, most venues will have recommended vendors, so it's rare to have a venue that has one in-house! They were also a pleasure to work with!
  2. The getting-ready areas

The venue has two separate getting-ready areas at a reasonable distance between them. If you're worried about seeing each other before the ceremony, fear not! The bridal getting ready area is located inside the reception space, and the groomsman getting ready area is in a separate small cabin about 300 feet away and on the far side away from the bridal suite.

  3. Traffic can be an issue.

Give yourself and your wedding guests extra time to arrive at the venue, especially if you're coming from Greensboro! The bride, groom, and I got in a 1-hour traffic jam on the way to the venue!
  4. Beautiful photo spots are EVERYWHERE!

Don't let the size of the reception space fool you, there are intentionally designed photo spots EVERYWHERE at this venue! You have options like the lake, fountain, swing, willow trees, the bridge, and more!

In Summary

We think the Carver Lake Venue is a great place to get married, especially if you want to have not just a lake but several other fantastic spots for photos/ video. They also have very affordable rates, which start at $400 for elopments which is some of the best pricing we've seen in venues near the Research Triangle. We hope that you'll consider us for your videography needs!
