From a Wedding Videographer Who’s Filmed It

Voted the best wedding venue in South Carolina in 2024 and 2025, The Venue at Rose Springs Farm is a top pick for many couples. Its location is convenient enough for friends and family to travel to while also being far enough in the countryside to enjoy some peace and quiet. But you want the details, the things to be ready for, what spots are the most cinematic?
*Full disclaimer, we're a preferred vendor and personally know the owners, Amy & Shane (they're awesome people!).
1. The French Doors
The French doors at Rose Springs Farm are one of my favorite places to start filming the day. There’s something symbolic about them—doors opening, light pouring in, anticipation building. From a storytelling perspective, they’re gold.
These doors are perfect for:
Bridal portraits with soft, natural light
The reveal of your dress
Slow, emotional moments before the ceremony
2. The Pond
The pond at Rose Springs Farm is an absolute standout, especially for full bridal party shots!. Water adds movement and reflection, which are two things videographers love. Whether it’s the wind rippling across the surface or the way the sky reflects during golden hour, this spot feels effortlessly romantic.
This is where I love to film:
Intimate couple moments
Golden hour
Full bridal party shots
The pond creates a sense of calm in your film. It’s the perfect contrast to the excitement of the ceremony and reception. When couples relax here—laughing, holding hands, soaking it all in—the result is authentic footage that feels like you, not a performance.
3. The Tree: The Best spot at the venue at Rose Springs Farm.
Every great venue has that spot—the one that grounds the entire property. At Rose Springs Farm, it’s the tree right next to the pond.
This is where you will get THE BEST golden hour shots, especially in the fall.
Visually, this tree gives your wedding film a sense of scale and permanence. It’s stunning in every season and works beautifully for:
Golden hour shots.
Private vows
Romantic wide shots that feel cinematic and epic
From a filmmaker’s perspective, the great tree is a storytelling anchor. It’s a place your film can return to visually, helping your wedding day feel cohesive and intentional. Shots here feel timeless, the kind you’ll never regret including, especially at golden hour.
4. The Dock
If I had to pick one spot where the most genuine moments happen, it’s the dock.
There’s something about being removed from all the wedding guests. It's just you, your partner, and the water—that allows couples to truly be present. On film, that translates to truly authentic moments.
The dock is perfect for:
Sunset and blue-hour shots
Quiet conversations between newlyweds
Reflective, emotional moments
Group shots with the groomsmen at the beginning of the day.
Some of the most meaningful clips I’ve ever captured happened on docks like this—soft laughter, whispered words, foreheads touching. These are often the moments couples tell me they cherish most when watching their film back.
In summary
As a videographer, I can confidently say this venue gives couples:
Consistent, flattering natural light
A variety of cinematic backdrops without feeling scattered
Space to slow down and be present
If you’re planning your wedding at Rose Springs Farm, trust that you’ve chosen a venue that doesn’t just look beautiful in photos, but moves beautifully on film. And that makes all the difference.
